Here’s a sick piece of math rock I made with my friend Mailbox’s help (thanks Mailbox)…
E, G, A, B, C#, D, and a high E.
7 Notes… played over and over in a phrase that is 8 notes long means that every other time the pattern will start one note later. Then the rhythmic pattern of four dotted quarter notes followed by two regular quarter notes every 2 bars sets the pulse for which note will be highlighted by its corresponding color in the video. Can you figure out the pattern? Can you hear the colors?
low E=Red
G= Orange
A= Yellow
B= Green
C#= Blue
D= Indigo
high E= Violet
